Seth: Did you ever get this resolved? We are seeking info on
ODBCDirect with DAO (access 2000) talking to Oracle 9i. We're trying to get
to Oracle without the ODBC prompt. Can we do this with code (hopefully with
some code and logic you have discovered)?

Thanks.

Subject: [AccessD] slightly OT: Oracle and ADO

Hi all,

Anybody happen to know the proper provider for Oracle to use in an ADO
ConnectionString? I['ve got the Oracle OLE DB drivers installed and an
ODBC source set up which tests OK. I just need to get the connectionstring
set properly so I can actually connect to it.

And no, I don't want to create a table link to the odbc source. I want to
do this stricly in code. Truth be known, I'm doing this in VB, not even in
Access. I figured someone here has done this at some point. :)

Thanks.
Seth
