I have not been able to get satisfactory results doing it the ways that I
have tried it.

I wonder if I put in SS at home and then copy the SS working directory back
and forth...

I don't know of any way to do that.  When you copy a sourcesafe project,
that is move it from the location it was originally created in, then the
sourcesafe features are disabled and you have a sort of normal database.
I don't think bringing it back and copying it back to the original
location will get it back in action, but I have to admit I've never
tried the latter.

Hi,

What is the preferred way (if any) of working on a database at home that
is under SourceSafe at work?  I am talking about taking a copy of the
database(s) home and working on it, then bringing it back to work and
updating what you have at work?
