...sorry Vlad ...didn't mean to be angry/sarcastic by any means ...guess I'm
just tired ...but the doc created by the merge is 75mb and Word simply will
not handle it ...this is on clean Dell 2.4GHz systems with 1Gb Ram and
plenty of HD so its not a hardware limitation ...when I try to open the file
it gives varying results ...transparent windows being one of them I had not
seen before ...but in no case can I ever "open" the doc to begin the print
process ...nor can I merge to the printer since edits must be done first
(don't ask) ...as for the printer drivers, Minolta practically lives in the
client's office at the moment ...they simply don't have XP drivers that are
fully compliant despite their sales pitch to the contrary ...a glitch here,
a funny color there, etc. ...but since I'm never getting the doc open, much
less the print process, it shouldn't be the printer drivers at fault here
...MS' own specs for Word say 32mb is the limit ...ime the past few days
I've managed to get a 33mb file to work but nothing larger ...but thanks for
your input and again my apologies if I seemed out of sorts ...maybe its best
