John Dreamweaver will allow you to design for specific resolutions or to check how your pages look at different resolutions. 800x600 is the common resolution to use when creating the page. In DW look at the status bar - right hand side and you will see the screeen resolution numbers. Just click on them to open a little list which you can edit.
