[AccessD] ValidationRule

Mark,

Are you saying that whenever you open the form that the subform is
displaying some data that does not conform to the validation rules you
have placed on those fields in the table? This should not happen if the
subform is displaying existing data that is clean. However, if it is
showing a new record without proper default values already filled in,
then it will complain.

Subject: [AccessD] ValidationRule

Hello All,

In A97 I have a form with a subform. I am using the Validation Rule in
the
tables to require certain fields. Everytime I try to go to the
subform...it
tries to enforce the ValidationRules. Is there a way to keep this from
happening until saving?

Or a suggestion on how to require a field with out coding each one
individually on save?

Thanks,

Mark A. Matte
