[AccessD] Pulling the record source from the server before running thereport

Depends how complex the query is. I managed to decrease elapsed time on one report from 28 minutes down to 4 minutes by bringing one table up to the local machine before invoking a complex set of queries. The downside is a mess of local tables if you overuse the technique.

Subject: [AccessD] Pulling the record source from the server before running thereport

Hi listers,
I'm just curious is there any decrease in network traffic if I save the record source(in temporary table, temporary database) on the local machine before running the report(or form) ?
TIA,
    Ervin
