Well I just checked (I keep all my mails)

I got two mails (21/3 and 25/4) saying Visual Studio 2003 is gooing to
be launched togheter with Server 2003 and thats it.
And I got lots of mails for Server 2003.
I'm sure they are puttig much more effort in launching Server 2003 than
launching VS 2003.

Erwin,

I get tons of mail from Microsoft promoting their tools (which I already
have). Maybe I'm getting your mail :-)

USA has always been another market than Europe.
Europe is much more traditional and is very carefull to implement new
technologies... For good or worse, don't know, depends on... But job
protection is a main player in decision taking.

Better old proven technology than new unknown technology is a big issue
over here in large corperates.

But i did'nt received a single mail/letter saing VS 2003 is coming
out... Server 2003 I had my share...

Could also be what you read. I get (WAY) more .NET mail than AccessD
mail (including all the other databaseadvisor lists).

For those interested in investigating .NET, gotdotnet.com is a fabulous
resource.

Erwin,

The reason you don't hear much about .Net anymore is that MS determined
that the .Net label confuses all but the IT sector. Look hear...
