The question you asked is not a dumb question. I am sure everyone has made
the same mistake once or so; not remembering whether they are working with
strings or objects when they are just enjoying their first exposure to a
property or class. A few hours of pound the head against the wall has a
tradition of leaving an impact that few will soon forget. Nothing like trial
by fire.
