That's true, but it's a brand new "blank" template created from Word 
default settings.

Bear in mind, though, that Normal.dot may (and probably will) contain 
user-defined Autotext entries, styles, macros and toolbars (i.e. much of 
the user's environment) which all disappear if normal.dot is deleted.

So save a copy before deleting, then if you do have a corrupt normal 
template (a not uncommon occurrence) you can use Word's Organiser to copy 
stuff back selectively to the new normal.dot and reconstruct the environment.
