[AccessD] Import Excel Dates into Access

I just received an Excel spreadsheet with a date column.  The dates display
as "8/22/2003", however the cell contains "8/22/2003  2:00:00 PM".  How can
I import this data into Access retaining only the date "8/22/2003"?  Prior
to this submittal I could link to the spreadsheet and copy/paste the records
with no massaging of data required.  They obviously have changed their
export routine.
