The thing is that Microsoft doesn't send such messages. This seems to be a
trend, we got several at out office on Thursday:

The email message that I got is :

From: Network Security Department [mailto:urflfou-vglpwir at advisor.net]
> Sent: Thursday, September 18, 2003 4:51 PM
> To: User
> Subject: Last Network Critical Upgrade
> MS User

> this is the latest version of security update, the "September 2003,
Cumulative Patch" update which resolves all known security vulnerabilities
affecting MS Internet Explorer, MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express. Install
now to help protect your computer from these vulnerabilities, the most
serious of which could allow an attacker to run executable on your computer.
This update includes the functionality of all previously released patches.
