Turns out it was due to "Windows in Taskbar" being set to true....

Subject: [AccessD] [OT Slightly] Access XP to Word using ADO results in
toolbars beingturned off in word

Hello All...

Using Office XP and ADO

I have a report which is generated from an Access database into a Word
document. The word doc uses ADO to collect the report data from report
data tables in the mdb, writes it out, saves it to a new document and
then closes leaving the user looking at a new copy of the report (less
the modules).

I use the same template for Word 97 and XP.

In XP, if I prompt the user to save the report when its created (using
Dialogs(wdDialogFileSaveAs)), or even save it without prompting (using
activedocument.saveas), they are left looking at the report but all
toolbars are hidden... !?! And I can't see how to turn them back on...
In office 97 everything works fine.

Any ideas much appreciated...

Cheers

Mark
