[AccessD] OT: Goldmine customization know-how, anyone?

I am in a special hell called Goldmine.  I managed to get roped into
a Goldmine customization project and it's just...disgusting.  I don't
know if the things I'm being asked to do simply can't be done in
Goldmine, or if I just don't know how to do them.

I've been all over the built-in documentation, Goldmine for Dummies,
and the hacker's Guide to Goldmine.  I'm lost and I need help.

Does anyone have any experience with Goldmine customizations?
