I don't generally use the Access security tool; I code in security based
on windows logins. These mdws are a pain. Thanks for the answers...

Karen,

There are many parts to this answer. A great source of information is a
book by Gary Robinson titled 'Real World Microsoft Access ... Security'.

He does show how you can do a very good job of securing an Access
database.

Subject: [AccessD] System.Mdw Question

I have a database that is hooked to a security file of rd.mdw. I just
discovered that if a user joins himself to the system.mdw file, he can
do whatever he darn well pleases. How can I prevent a user from having
the ability to connect to the system.mdw? Has anyone else had this
problem? Thanks!
