Come one, JWC... you are not being fair. I have seen some of your apps, and we are both in approximately the same place: 300+ tables, 500+ queries, 500+ forms, etc. You cannot manage a UI (using previous conventions) that handles this kind of load. I think that the new UI may be a way cool method to delivering this sort of complexity.
