If you sent it on a CD, it will be read only. Have the client change
the file's protection. Right click on the file in Windows Explorer,
select Properties. Uncheck the Attribute "Read-only".

Subject: [AccessD] Access DB onlt read

Hi All:

Sent a database to a client and now when they attempt to run certain
code it
displays the following message ''Run Time error 30267', cannot update
database or object is read-only'. Within the problem module there are a
number of tables created, cleared and re-populated within the code. The
DB
works just fine here. What could be wrong?

Subject: [AccessD] Syntax for loading a specific version of Access

I scouted the archives but didn't locate what I want, which is to create
a
shortcut that knows that I want to load this particular MDB | ADP using
Access 2000, not Access 2003 or Access 2007.

TIA,
Arthur
