Office 2007 does NOT like to coexist with earlier versions. I don't know how to turn it off either. My pet peeve is that if I use A2003, it runs the msi briefly to "install" O2003. If I then run 2007, it takes a year and a day to "configure" itself again! So much for backward *or* forward compatibility!
