If you're looking for tools I would check out the toolbelt from Red-Gate
software

For standardizing your existing code you can use the sql refractor tool, but
to build new queries quickly with intellisense-like technology, then use
sql-prompt. I really do enjoy this tool. (I do have this and sql-compare
plus sql backup from red gate, they tend to really put out quality software
