John,

IIRC, the solution may lie in the three "auto" macros you can use in the 
doument template that is used.  Its some years since I delved in that 
diretion, and as I have no longer an M$ based system I can't indicate any 
more pointers than that I recall that one is automatically invoked on the 
document being closed.
