I'm a firm believer in the Red Gate ToolBelt and have just persuaded my new
employer to buy it. That's IIRC the fourth client I've persuaded. I do a
couple of walkthroughs on my notebook with my own licensed copies and they
say "Wow". SQL Backup is a case in point. It's twice as fast as the built-in
and the file size is one third. I even tried to winRAR one of the backups
and only gained 500KB on a 6GB backup (MS was 18GB).

Data Generator is an awesome tool, too, if you need to do some scalability
testing.

Was just using Data Compare and SQL Compare today, with excellent results.
