[AccessD] set number of columns on page by code

Access2000/2002/2003, WinXP

Is there a way to set the number of columns on a page via code?    I'd like 
to have the option of 1 or 2 columns on a report, but I'd prefer not to make 
the Page Setup dialog box available to the user.
