Yes TransferSpreadsheet still works.
Is issue is that you'll need to shell out to close Excel after closing Access.

I have a client using 2007 who just came across a restriction on exporting
data to Excel.  IIRC, it was an anti-trust litigation thing.
 
Briefly, what can't you do in 2007 regarding automation with Excel?  Is
TrassferSpreadSheet still working?  Can you save the results of a query to
