Not entirely true John.  Unbound DOES use locks.  It just doesn't 'hold'
the lock if designed correctly.

I never asked for that, nor do I expect that to happen, your code or
mine.  Unbound using no locks simply cannot function in the same manner
as a bound form creating locks.
