I've recently been using Polestar which is both print to PDF and print to image.
http://www.polestarsoft.com/

Polestar Virtual Printer is a combination of virtual PDF printer and virtual image printer,
which enables you to convert VSD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, AutoCAD, Photoshop
and much more printable document types into PDF, TIFF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, or EMF
with high quality. It is a completely FREE software with no watermarks and no popup web
ads!

One very nice feature:
# Automatic Output is to generate PDFs and images with unique name and specific path.

If you select this, each file you print is named with a pre-defined prefix and a datetime
stamp. It means that you can do all sorts of things programatically in VBA with the file
after it is printed.
