you can do it like this:
UPDATE YourTable SET YourTable.fldSelection =
Mid([Concl],InStr(1,[Concl],"(")+1,InStr(InStr(1,[Concl],"("),[Concl],")")-2)
WHERE (((YourTable.Concl) Like "*(*)*"));
