Jack,
I make no statement that what I use will be any good. It is at best a hack.
But it is going to do what I want it to do - even if I don't fully
understand it.

Thanks for the pointers

Max

Max,

I'd like to see an example with explanation. There are no "good" samples out
there. Even the one that gave there Initialization error --- had an error.

If you've got the #1 sample, put your name on it and show the world.

Max,

I just found this in response to your email to Charlotte.

I have just set up a form and tried this on the OnLoad

Take a look at this link, see if it helps.

Charlotte,

You mean the breakdown comes later in the day, giving you time to start

smoking and other long forgotten bad habits out of frustration.

Do you know what the real problem I am having with this Treeview. It is the

fact that each example I look at comes at it from a different angle. It is

quite a flexible beast, but none of them do what I want and none of them are

complete in themselves, so I am jumping back and forth trying to figure out

what argument goes where and does what.

Oh for intelisense with treeviews!!

I think treeviews are much easier in .Net. Does that persuade you?? ;->

Thanks Charlotte,

I can't go to .net 'cos I am currently wrestling with TreeViews - ha!

Driving me nuts. One breakdown at a time!

Well, don't look at me! I jumped ship to .Net rather than have to

wrestle with 2007. It does have its fans, but I've met only a few of

them and they *started* with 2007, so they don't know any better. LOL

I don't think you'll find any 2007 fans on this list. I still develop

in

2003 for the same reason. Can't figure out how 2007 works - don't have

a compelling reason to use it. I have 2007 loaded on another machine

just for testing. But all the 03 stuff works on 07 just dandy.

Hi List,

I am about to throw in the towel with Access 2007. I find it so

incredibly hard to work with - as I have often mentioned before.

Before I actually do that, can I ask this questions...

Is there anything that is a real improvement over 2003? Either that I

can bring to the development for the end-user that I cannot do in 2003

or that makes the development easier than 2003 (I think I know the

answer to that one!).

I don't want to shoot myself in the foot here. If, beneath the skin,

the development side is not basically the same (not talking about

cosmetic stuff, but has real substantially improved dev stuff) then I

will need to take that on board.

I am not looking for a List of differences - just your gut reactions

please.

Thank you

Max
