AD I've used a hot-mail account for the longest time and always used OE as my client. MS changed Hot Mail so that it was no longer compatible with OE and refused to upgrade OE. That left me with a choice in MS mail platforms of Live Mail or Outlook. After trying both, I chose LM for the same reasons you've outlined here.
