As far as I know, Skype will allow you copy files up to a certain sizes but
RDP will allow you to stream files of any size and of course, it requires no
client intervention.

Can you transfer files with remote desktop?

I found that you can transfer files with Skype - very handy.

And you cannot transfer files, at least with the free version.  It is very
easy to use however.
