One word described those databases: NoSQL Jim -----Original Message----- From: accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Arthur Fuller Sent: Friday, July 20, 2012 3:59 PM To: Access Developers discussion and problem solving Subject: Re: [AccessD] Fun and games in web design JC, I assume that you use (or have used) Google, Amazon, and eBay. In what sense are they not "real" databases? Certainly not in any sense that I use the word. I envy their response times, which are faster than anything I've ever written against any back end, containing at best about a millionth of their data volume.
