I have been battling this error all day. I am doing Word automation, merging a document, then running a splitter to split the merged documents into individual documents and so forth. It runs the first time but not the second or subsequent. knowledge base article 189618 discusses the solution which is to fully path all references to all objects of the word document. IOW you cannot simply say ActiveDocument, you must say MyWordObj.ActiveDocument, MyWordObj.Selection and so forth. What a ROYAL PITA!!! After finding and fixing ALL such references (from code borrowed off the internet) the thing finally works. All darned day! -- John W.
