size=2>We bought software that has some automation programs that receive
email and send email among other things. Each one is a separate "module"
or "add in" for this software package. They were intended to run on a pc
and started by an individual as they were needed. Our need exceeded this
use, we need this to run 24 / 7, so we started them on the server, and simply
locked the computer letting the "modules" run. I did look in to the OCX
to see if I could convert these little exe's into services that would run on
the server without logging into the server, however I believe you need to
insert code into the applications on load events or something if I remember
correctly. </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

you know of any other way to let an application that should be a
service, run as a service. Hang up is that I cannot gain access to
the source code without paying, or having them do it and charge us out the
wazzoo?? All I have is an EXE that I kick off.
