<P>Yeah , it's a new concept called 'cyclical Programming' it just references itself until the user goes away.....<BR>It references two controls in the same way that I showed the reference for the one control.<BR>The thing I don't get is, the inclusion of the equal sign makes it work - however Access discards it when I save. <DIV></DIV>>Don,
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>You have me confused! Is this combo box referring to itself or some
<DIV></DIV>>other combo box or something else? I cannot tell since you only show
<DIV></DIV>>one name but say you have two controls. Please try to be a little more
<DIV></DIV>>explicit.

<DIV></DIV>>I have this odd occurrance in A2K. I have a combo that has criteria
<DIV></DIV>>referencing two screen controls, like this
<DIV></DIV>>[forms]![frmtestcases]![cmbproject]. Many times (but not always) it
<DIV></DIV>>returns nothing when I click it. Then if I go into the grid for the
<DIV></DIV>>underlying query and make it
<DIV></DIV>>=[forms]![frmtestcases]![cmbproject] it works, however it does not keep
<DIV></DIV>>the equal sign, it discards it - works for a while then craps out. What
<DIV></DIV>>gives?? Just another wierd Accessism?
