this doesn't explain why I am getting this error as I am the only person with
the app open. That's why I can't understand where this is coming from. I wasn't
aware of this change in A2K or greater, and that is good to know, it's just that
this only just started to happen. I was working on the app yesterday and this
wasn't the case then. Hmmm, I hate these random

A2K, you have to open Access dbs in Exclusive Mode to do any design
changes. When you double-click on an A2K or higher db you are opening it
in Shared Mode unless you saved it to open as Exclusive Mode. One of the
ways to open it in Exclusive Mode to do design changes is to hold down
the Shift key while opening to bypass the normal startup

around with a totally unbound FE (AXP) app and have started to get this error

Problems all is OK. As soon as I run the app and then go to make some design
