I wouldn't knock the barbering. Some make pretty good money. In my
neck of the woods, a haircut goes for $12 -$15. A good barber will push
out 4 cuts an hour. $60/hr? Not too bad. Especially since what is
report as income at tax time and what goes in the pocket can be two totally
different things.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

Plus no long term stress, no deadlines, and you know the customer needs to come
back in a month or so<g>.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

Of course their are some drawbacks (like being on your feet all day), but that's
true of any job.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

My point though is that it is not as bad as some things you could be
doing....</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

<P>That's it! That's the options? - Hoeing Tobacco and Barbering?? I have a

haven't
<DIV></DIV>>considered hoeing!

<DIV></DIV>>Jim, you don't explain it -- he'll figure it out. :)
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>My son in law is a barber -- family tradition. He hates it and
decided to do
<DIV></DIV>>something else. Six weeks later, after hoeing a lot of tobacco,
he's
<DIV></DIV>>barbering again. Said barbering was a lot easier than hoeing.

<DIV></DIV>>LOL. perfect analogy. How do you explain to someone who has
never been
<DIV></DIV>>unemployed that a job, even if it is not a perfect fit and you
have to
<DIV></DIV>>struggle for awhile, is a GOOD thing? A lot of his classmates
wish they had
<DIV></DIV>>a job of any kind right now. Besides, learning skills such as
these can help
<DIV></DIV>>differentiate you from the crowd.
