mdbs for me ...nothing as bad as you describe but its one of the first things I
look for now ...if Access is in the midst of a transaction when the nic fails,

a problem. Its a new file with less than 25 objects or so, not even a meg
in size. The laptop did bluescreen when I shut it down though, but that
