Gary was a member of the DBA lists for over 20 years and was a moderator for most of those and he was always there to help anyone on the list. On October 30 Gary passed away. He was an avid golfer, gardener, bicyclist, and fisherman. I met him in person a few years ago while on business in the Minneapolis area. He was still working then and took an extended lunch to drive over to where I was so we could meet. Gary was a very nice guy, the perfect moderator. On the OT list we've discussed what we might do to honor Gary. The idea was presented of supporting the "Northern Waters Land Trust" which is active in Gary's home state of Minesota.
