Script the CREATE INDEX ... and drop it prior to ALTERing the table, then - run CREATE INDEX.

Subject:	[dba-SQLServer]Temporarily Unbinding an Index

Everyone,

Can I temporarily unbind an index from a column, modify the column and bind the index back again? I have a database I am working on and I just want to change the column to Allow Nulls through T-SQL, but it won't let me because it says that the column is being used elsewhere, in an index.

TIA
