[dba-SQLServer] One or more objects access this field

I tried to do a drop column from a sql statement and it failed with that error message.  AFAICT I 
had no cursors etc open that displayed that field.  I eventually went into design view of the table 
and manually deleted the column and that worked.

Any ideas why something like this occurs?
