Hi Arthur:

Using the R language, in SQL would seem more like an add on. The language is very different than the SQL language....it produces graphics with animation from huge data sets, to my understanding.

Anyone on this list use R? Microsoft recently purchased Revolutions
Analytics and plans to implement the R language in a sandbox within SQL
Server, thus eliminating the need to extract the data before doing deep
analytics on it. A little more explanation can be found here
<http://blog.revolutionanalytics.com/2015/05/r-in-sql-server.html>.
