Thanks Jon,
This is mostly talking spots. Does the sound come through with decent
quality?

Yeah, it should do. That's how my dad records things off the radio to listen
to later on his minidisc player. Out of the stereo into the minidisc. You
can do it straight off your pc too from the internet radio.

Hi Lembit,
Sorry, "Boom Box" is a slang term for a portable cassette tape, CD, radio
with big speakers. I never had one before but my wife bought me one for
Christmas. I had always planned to do this direct from my stereo component
system.

I mis-placed the manual for my sound blaster card. I don't have RCA type
jacks on this cassette player. If I run a line from the headphone connector
of the cassette player into the line-in connector of the sound card will
that work?

what's a boom box?

is it a stereo with tape?

anyway, what you need is a SW for recording. there are lots for free or
pretty cheap on Internet.
years ago I had bought GoldWave for 40$. Still using it for some tasks.
but there are of course much better ones like Adobe Audition (expensive)
