[dba-Tech] File Sharing Problem

I have a file share on the My Documents folder on my desktop system
that I map a drive to from my laptop. When I try to copy all the
photos in the My Pictures folder from the desktop to the laptop it
works until it gets to a verticle picture where the copy dies with a
mesage box indicating "Access is Denied". I can view and copy the
horizontal photos without any problem but if I open the folder on the
shared drive in explorer a generic icon shows for the verticle aspect
files.

Anybody have any idea what might be going on???  I'd like to copy all
the files over to the laptop. I'm thinking that the workaround will be
to copy to a USB External hard drive on the desktop and then move it
to connect to the laptop and copy from external to laptop drive. But I
would rather not have to do that if I can just slay the dragon that is
in my way of doing it directly.....

Any ideas are welcome.

Both systems are Windows XP, up to date with all service packs etc.
