I just found my dell windows 2000 product recovery cd from my old P3
machine. What do you think will happen if I try to load that on the
notebook?

With only 128MB Ram it will limp but if it works I suppose I could put in
that 128MB that Gary found for $20 and upgrade from limp to mosey.

Going through the steps on the cd, is there an option to redo the
partitions?

If so, delete the partition you want to format and then recreate it.
It will have to format it.
