or you could cheat... boot it from a 2K or XP cd, use the format tool on
there, then install from the restore cd :-)

I wouldn't get your hopes too far up. Those recovery CD's are pretty
machine specific I think. If you get the thing to be bootable in ME
try hitting F8 when it's about to boot and then going to Boot to
C:prompt or something like that...THEN maybe it will let you run your
FDISK or Format c: /s etc.
