I don't know the code but I would turn on the macro recorder, record the
keystrokes and then look at the code it generated, and use it in the open
event of the workbook.  That's how I usually make code in Excel.

Anyone have a procedure that adds a value to an existing value upon opening
the workbook? Don't anybody create anything -- a reader is trying to
increment an invoice number and this seems the easiest solution to me -- if
anybody's got a generic procedure I could send, would be great -- if not,
delete and read on. ;)
