I would imagine that the crapware vendors are paying something to have their
crap pre-installed.  If so, losing that revenue  stream might force them to
raise the price of a box, no?

Dell, HP, Gateway and Sony (among others) have taken a LOT of heat lately
concerning the bundling of crap-ware. I think the Mac commercials really
spurred this on. Dell has repsonded with the Vostro. I just bought another
one for another Home Business startup. Everyone wants low cost so...
We'll see how they hold up.

Go Apple! U-RA-ra...

and then there's the iPhone :o(

I bought a business desktop recently and one of the main reasons I went the
business route was to avoid the craplets, thus putting me in the position of
paying extra for the privilege of NOT receiving something!
