If its IE 7 unistall google toolbar and change your default search engine to google by clickin gon the search icon's options feature. I have a dozen or so options there with google as the default and it works sweet. It seems to have something to do with google toolbar since when I uncheck that IE pops right open, when I check it again it opens slowly (30 seconds or so). Took awhile to figure it out (waiting 30 seconds every time I tried something).
