One option is to buy a full retail version of XP Pro. A little searching
found a copy for about $140.

Dell told me they no longer offer the Dimension line with XP.
If you want XP, from Dell, your only choice is to buy a more expensive
OptiPlex or Precision.

I was kind of caught off guard by the major PC companies not offering XP
as
an option to Vista (like they offered W2K as an option when XP first
arrived). I haven't called to see if I can get a new PC with XP but they
stopped offering it on their websites a couple of weeks ago. Looks like
I'll
be dealing with a Vista of headaches sooner than I thought!
