I cleared up a problem once by deactivating the mouse 'pad' below the
keyboard. I had to go into the BIOS to do that, but the problem was solved!

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have a client with a fairly new Dell Vostro notebook. The mouse will act
as if the shift key pressed. I can't get it to stop selecting. once in a
great while it won't but there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. She had
the Onscreen Keyboard activated and the shift key appeared as if I was
pressed. Her keyboard was acting strange as to the numbers and such but once
I cleared the Onscreen keyboard that cleared that issue. But I still have
mouse issues. I can't find a reference to this anywhere. I'm wondering if
the keyboard has a short in it.
