Yes, I think it does, as I don't have the options here either, and I've got WinZip installed.

This is XP right? Mine doesn't show that option. Might that be because I've already installed Winzip? Does that remove the in-built option?

Rigth click in a folder in Explorer and select New - then look right at the bottom of the sub- menu. Select Compressed (zipped) Folder. It just creates a Zip file.

Then you can manage it like an ordinary folder including dragging and dropping into and out of it.
