You should also disable AutoRun.

Create a DisableAutorun.reg file containng the following lines:
 
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows 
NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\Autorun.inf]
@="@SYS:DoesNotExist"

Once installed, no nasties get passed just by plugging in a USB drive
